Highlight of our Trip to Ireland
Review Submitted: 11 July 2012 Date of Stay: June 2012
This was our second stay at Parc Na Realta and it was every bit as enjoyable or more so this time around. After staying a night on the south coast, when we pulled in to the drive it felt like coming home again. Nick and Oonagh have considered every element to make us feel at home and comfortable during our stay.

The kitchen is top notch in every way and we enjoyed shopping at the local Aldi (a great value) and making many meals at home. The house is laid out very thoughtfully with spacious bedrooms, sitting, and dining areas. We loved the sun room for reading, eating and relaxing with glorious views in all directions. We remarked how every window in the house has spectacular views, simply mesmerizing. Our nine year old son and 3 year old daughter absolutely loved the table tennis room. We had several tournaments to their delight.

We much appreciated the detailed orientation guide sent in advance which gave us some great ideas of things to do, all different and new for our second trip here. Some of the highlights include walking and driving through the Gap of Dunloe--spectacular scenery, a trip round the Ring of Kerry and down to the gardens at Garnish Island, walks on the beach at nearby Rossbeigh, and the sheep dog trial demonstration at Kells Sheep Centre about 6 km from the house. Ask Clara at the Riordens shop for directions.

The onsite help were extraordinarily friendly. The housekeeper Dympna called to make sure we were getting along and asked if we needed anything. Clara at the shop who provided the welcome basket was so kind and helpful. We couldn't have been more pleased with our whole experience. Thank you Nick and Oonagh for providing such a wonderful place for our family vacation!

This is a wonderful house in an idyllic setting. It very well equipped with everything you need. It's a great place to hang out and enjoy the setting and the location is good for numerous day trips. There were 6 of us and we had more than enough room. I would definitely recommend this house.

We have visited this fabulous part of Kerry many times and always stay at Parc Na Realta. It is such a comfortable home with every modern convenience, including a fabulous kitchen which has recently been updated to suit the most discerning chef. We particularly enjoy the barbecue on the terrace when we have been during summer months. For foodies who want a break from cooking there are some amazing restaurants nearby. Particular favourites of ours are Carrig House on the shores of Caragh Lake and The Point overlooking Valentia Island, as well as Nicks in Killorglin for a good knees-up. Then all you have to do is a walk it all off on a good local hike!

I stayed at Pairc Na Realta in July 2007. It was fantastic! The house itself is beautiful. It has everything you need. It is spotlessly clean. The kitchen is big and very user-friendly. We were four adults, and we used every bedroom -all were perfectly comfortable. The house matched the description given. We were more than pleased. All the bathrooms and showers worked great. The house has a fabulous sunroom with a big dining table where we ate every night and watched the fantastic sunsets. The view from the sunroom is breathtaking. Nick is very knowledgable about the area and gave us great tips about things to do, places to see, and places to eat. The house is located very conveniently to take day trips around the Ring of Kerry. Every day we walked along the beach near the house. I highly recommend this house. You will not be disappointed!

Beautifully appointed and warm home in private setting. Great sunken fireplace area for rainy days (sometimes it rains in Ireland). Large breakfast area with aged wooden table and sun room with striking views. Close enough for a trip to the Blasket Islands for a reminder of how the hardy lived not too many decades ago. Other highlights of our stay were blackberry picking on the winding driveway, horse races on a nearby beach and close by lanes where walking is comfortable and prompting thoughts of the farmers who used the same paths in generations past. We had the feeling of a need to rise early and retire late to enjoy every moment of our stay.

On entering through the front door of Pairc na Realta it felt like we were "home". Welcoming sitting room with a fun conversation pit had us excited.Could there be more? Then we saw the sun room. Although the weather does not always oblige, many an evening meal was enjoyed in this cheery, light and cosy area. Bedrooms and bathrooms very comfortable and adequate space to unpack and unwind. And then the kitchen! A chef's delight. Feelings of space and freedom accompany you throughout this home. Close to restuarants, post office, convience store and church. Hurry on a return date!

This house is beautifully appointed, very comfortable, spectacular views and a wonderful place to totally relax in. On the doorstep is the Kerry way and is suitable for long walks or short strolls. Wonderful beaches within 5 mins by car. Nice small towns for stocking up with supplies. Some very good restaurants in the area also good pub meals nearby. We would highly recommend this delightful home and the beautiful area of Dingle Bay for a holiday in Ireland. Much to offer all ages. Car essential.
